Deborah Davis, L.Ac, MAOM – Biography and background
For the past 30 years, Deborah Davis has practiced various forms of alternative healing: herbal medicine, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, massage, and psychic readings. She received her Masters from Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine and is licensed in acupuncture and herbal medicine by the Medical Board of the State of California, the National Commission of Certification of Acupuncturists and the Oregon Board of Examiners. Ms. Davis is also certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy by the Transpersonal Institute of Hypnotherapy in Los Angeles. She holds a B.A. in Ethnobotany.
Deborah became aware of her psychic abilities as a child with recurring prophetic dreams. She’d often dream of death and it would come true, much to the chagrin of her mother. As a kid, she didn’t play with dolls but enjoyed gathering friends to do séances, levitation and consult the Ouija board. The Ouija board told her many things that came true (like what ribbons she’d win in horse show) as well as contacting dead relatives and friends. The last time she consulted the Ouija, she was asked to find out how her best friend’s brother had died in Australia. That night his spirit came and rocked the bed until it broke so he could tell her more information for the family. She hasn’t used the board since!
Deborah began her professional career as a medical intuitive in the mid 1990’s under the guise of acupuncture. She began seeing through the person when she couldn’t figure out the traditional Chinese diagnosis. Qigong practice has also attuned her to feel and see the energetic pathways and chakras of clients even by phone.
Her intuitive gift led her into a lifelong exploration of energetic medicine and shamanic healing. She has studied with shamans from around the world and continues the quest to deepen her understanding of indigenous healing (who are more attuned to the psychic realms) and herbal medicine. Using techniques and wisdom gleaned from years of exploration, Deborah’s workshops on Intuitive Self Healing teach others to attune to their inner guidance through shamanic and intuitive practices to attain deep and lasting transformation.
Deborah Davis has a private practice in acupuncture, Qigong, and intuitive/shamanic healing in Ashland, Oregon. She’s the author of Women’s Qigong for health and Longevity: A Practical Guide for Women’s Forty and Older and The Spirit of Qi gong: Chinese exercises for longevity DVD.
